    awake, o muse

    awake, o muse, let’s once more fly
    the verdant valleys below the sky,
    let’s bathe eternal in love’s sweet rain
    and wash our wounds to dull the pain.

    awake, o muse, let’s once more sing
    the songs of yore that bubble like spring,
    let’s float along old melodious strains
    and gingerly gather blooms again.

    awake, o muse, let’s once more dwell
    above the clouds we knew so well;
    and resting there our thoughts abide,
    to live in peace and age defied.

    This is really good Chicharon. You are one masterful Pinoy! I doff my poetic hat to you. This sort of reminds me of a poem I wrote named "Nighttime Sky". It has that same whistful feel.

    thanks, gmcookie! unfortunately, my muse remains comatose and the inspiration has left me.

    Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
