Away
Away as you are
a storm approaches
the night gleaming with flashes
to remind me of love.
A part of you and I
are in those flashes
like sparks bringing us closer
through the distance.
I feel you through these bolts of fire and fury
but with a calmness as the storm itself...
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
