    Ayers Rock

Uluru rises over the outback timeless and proud,
Birthplace of the world, the heart and soul of this land,
No castle of sand stands so tall, no pyramid as great,
Like an island in a harsh landscape, revered by all,
Home to the Pitjantjatjari, nomadic and true,
The gem of the northern territory, sacred rock,
Five seasons pass and never does it change,
From mid day to sunset a grand sight,
    Yet at night dreamtime delights,
All the while changing colour from one shade to another,
Flora and fauna surround, We all stand in awe.....

    like being there, wow

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
