Reflections of verdure over you and I.
Fresh vibrant greenness flourishing a sigh.
    Sunshine and baby blue sky.

Like bear cubs rolling and frolicking.
    Ponies prancing and dancing.
A kitten purr and puppy tails wagging.

A twinge of fright as baby birds sing.
The first puff of breeze from feathery wing.
And they all remind me of what you bring.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
