bitter light free

    bitter light free

Clear night on new moon's eve

Frozen moisture floats in the setting source

White trees white trunks skeleton's pose

Bright seems to come from below

As though pale itself is light

    Truth is the eerie reflection

    Unabsorbed

    Unaccepted

    Skyward brilliant rejection

    Reach despite shadow height

    Season's cheer refusal to bestow

In hibernation all in willingness to doze

Unaware life's most high sacrificial course

Bitter light free no heart to cleave
