    Body Language

Slowly walking closer their eyes meet
The soft beat of two hearts repeat
Their hands become one, melting into eachother
Both are in love but care for another
Their lips touch, eyes close, passion grows
She turns down the bed, he turns down the light
A soft love without saying goodnight
In the morning they'll sleep, still fused
Still together, with dreams aimed for the better
Holding on to moments, but still wanting to make them
Given a chance, nothing can break them.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
