Poem Commentary

just a thought - if writing were truly an offense of the law

BUSTED RHYMES

My pen is my weapon, these lines are my crime
I have created another sorrow-filled rhyme
So Judge tell me how much time will I serve
I hope it's not much more than I deserve
I have confessed my sins in a sullen prose
so pass down the sentence that you'll impose
Gone is the pain, over the love I lost
Just tell me now, what will be the cost?
I have already given up all that I hold dear
Nothing remains inside me not even a tear
Be it torture or death - I can take it all
Whatever the punishment Judge, it is your call!
