    Chickadee Sex

Chickadee sex doesn’t look like much fun.
Three seconds of thrusting, and he was done.

He pruned his feathers and looked real smug,
then flew right off to find him a bug.

She was left wanting with wings aflutter,
calling more males in her attempt to mother.

Of course there were others, eager to please,
but three seconds each just seems a tease.

Perhaps it’s their short lives that is to blame,
but for me it really is quite a shame.

So, I’ll keep my human sex life, just the same,
at this rate how long ‘til the tortoise came?
