    COIN!


    A TWO-SIDED OBJECT---

    FLATTENED----


    USUALLY ROUND IN SHAPE, HAVING A GIVEN VALUE.



    TWO SIDES.


    OBVERSE AND REVERSE.


    TOTALLY DIFFERENT, ONE SIDE FROM THE OTHER,


    AND YET INSEPARABLE.


    ONE PIECE WITH TWO FACES TO THE OBSERVER.


    DIFFERENT,

    AND YET THE SAME,

    FOR ONE IS NAUGHT WITHOUT THE OTHER!



    COIN!


    BACK TO BACK.


    JOINED TOGETHER

    FOR THE DURATION!

    Hi, Mattye. I'm linlee, and I'm any number of things, one is opinionated - - I give my opinion freely, but I do try to be tactful when I think it is warranted. I give an honest opinion about what I like or don't like, usually with either reasons or ideas. If you're "thin skinned" and need to build up your confidence, ignore anything I say that was not to your liking and assume that an apology is there, too. I can find good things to say about practically anything, and I'll mean those things, too. So, are you ready for my comment? You described one aspect of a generic coin. My question is: why? What was your purpose in telling us that a coin has two sides? This poem would have more impact as description if you used some original imagery, or in content if you compared the coin to someone with specific examples, like the two sides of your best friend's personality and how they affect you. Or how about the two sides of you? That would probably add interest to it. This poem has a good start and lots of potential, but, in my opinion, it's not finished. I think you should work on it some more.

    I'm not thin-skinned...so no problem about your opinion. I am an artist, too, and don't care if my work is 'liked' or not. But here is the thing about COIN! It refers to two persons who are attracted to each other, in spite of their differences. Even though they are different, they are enough alike to compliment each other like one side of a coin compliments the other. Mattye
