Poem Commentary

Happy Halloween, this is just a small token of the season at hand...enjoy the tricks and even more so enjoy the treats.

Dare Not Sleep...

She sat so quiet and still she dare not awaken those of the night,
She shuddered at the thought of what would be her plight.
Once she had told her sister that she did not think death would come,
Those rising from the dead was a belief
only held by some.
Now the fear has gripped her heart and she realizes it must be true,
The very Devil himself has appeared in her room,"saying i've come for you".
I thought of all the wrong i've done in the years now past,
Could it be i have no time for repentance,my time has come at last ?
Vampires are only in movies and cannot be truely real,
A figment of a producers mind just to give young children a thrill.
Suddenly i was awaken from what seemed like an endless sleep,
From now on i won't watch a movie that will give me the creeps.
