    DAUGHTER

Something of me, you own and wear,

Curve of mouth, color of hair

    And something else,beyond a word

That is not seen, and is not heard

That is not woven, tride and true

In this part of me, that is part of you

Something of me,I keep and hold,

An endless star of "mothers' gold

This makes you mine in a sort of way

Without a "word" of "go" or "stay"

Other lives, we've known it seems

Flows from our hearts, and from our dreams.

A lot have perished, but some have won,

Including silver, gold, moon and sun.

    But underneath, and in between

    Our wonderful years are "evergreen"

    An ever-lasting river of water,

Made of Mother, and made of daughter.

    Strong as stone,old and new,

    Divided equally by two.

You came to me from very far,

And, bound together, WE ARE !!!!!!!

    Mommy
