Poem Commentary

I love Painting, and with you I use words to create them.. :)

Day End (Sunset Grace)

Rays of light getting out of sight
Lake of fire burning in the eye
Lines of wet light pointing my sight
Cold fire so much they admire

Skies are red and the waters are gold
wings soars like tide they roar
from north to south, east or west
gust winds are the might of waves

And as it draws your mind away
and so the sands by the bay
see people come and go away
like the moments of a day

and by then you'll forget
There, there is no regret
no tomorrow, no yesterday
all that happened was just a dream
all the act was just a scene

now leave behind all the pain
in the end, still we will reign.

Honestly if I'm not mistaken this is my oldest poem. Probably between 1999-2001, and still one of my most liked. My memory of this poem; I'm traveling on a bus and the sunset rays flashes each time they're able to make their way behind the highway trees, and then the beautiful open seas that the highway was laid..

Thank you.. :)

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
