    Dear Momma

    oh momma,Dear Momma
    I miss you more
    than ever today
for your god has come &
    taken you away
    above with the angels
    where I believe you'll stay.
    My eyes swell
    up with tears
    but then I hear
    your sweet voice
    & laughter in my ear.
    Saying it's o.k. really
    I'm fine my dear
    smile for me
    I am now
    off my knee
    with whom you call
    my God, thee

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
