Death Be Gone!

Death Be Gone!

Tears flow down our cheeks, I'm feeling emotionally weak.
Hearts are falling into despair at the sound of a telephone ring.
Our greatest fear realized in a strangers voice. "I'm sorry, Please repeat!"
What an ugly thing to say aloud, this word that brings you to your knees.
Dread of life with no future can feel like blindness of Mind, Heart, and Soul.
Life without Sickness, Death, Sorrow, and Tears; what of that would we know?
Can it be possible to feel this down in spirit? Will we recover? Will we live on to see him again in a future so different from now?
Read on and see the fulfillment of HIS greatest vow.
Promises of life never ending with perfect Mind and Body.
Each invitation waiting for your R.S.V.P., respond with haste and see...
Soon HIS greatest creation will take hold of that enemy and say,
Death be gone!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
