Do Not Cry For Me

Do Not Cry For Me

Do not cry for me when I'm gone.
We will meet again, it won't be long.
Remember the happy times we had
Remember the good, forget the sad.
Do not cry for me when I'm gone.

Think about the love we shared.
All the times I said I cared.
See the wild wolf, you'll think of me.
Look at the mountains, there I'll be.
Do not cry for me when I'm gone.

Watch the glistening snow, see it fall.
Listen closely, you'll hear me call.
Know that I'm always in your heart
Soul and spirit, we'll never be apart.
Do not cry for me when I'm gone.

See the yellow rose covered in dew,
Know that my love is for only you.
Watch the stars shining ever so bright,
You'll think of our love all the night.
Do not cry for me when I'm gone.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
