    Don't fall in love

Have you ever falln in love
    but knew they didn't care
have you ever felt like crying?
but knew that you'd get nowhere
have you ever watched them walk away?
    not wanting them to go
and whispered "I love you" softly
    not wanting them to know
you cried all night in a misery
    there's nothing in the world
    that causes so much pain
if i could choose between life or death
    i think i'd rather die
love is fun but it hurts to much
and the price you pay is to high
so i say don't fall in love
you'll be hurt before if's through
you see my friend i should know
i fell in love with you

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
