Dream so simple

Dream so simple

I wish upon the treelines as if they were a star.
Id wish upon the latter, but this doesnt seem as far.
I have a dream so simple, but it means so much the same.
If i could even taste my dream a second, it'd chase away this shame.
This torment of who i used to be, this heart encased in black.
Calm the chaos in my soul, every memory attack.
I fight another day, and then again tomorrow.
I fight away the pain, the life engulfing sorrow.
Ill keep this dream alive, and with it, my heart too.
If means this fire dies, ill do what i must do.
If i must wish upon the treelines, as if they were a star
Ill wish like ive never wished before, for my dreams arent very far.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
