Dreams in Real Life

From the Canvas of our mines
The beauty of a women is a work of art
We share the easel with the artist
On the shapes, shades and colors.

On a Warm summer morning
Not to long ago
My canvas came to life
And stole my heart I know

Her skin of golden tan
Her eyes bright and hazel
with shapes from all our dreams
with a silken touch for texture

I felt the magic touch
To my heart so lite
That when she smiled at me
She brought me back to life.

My age is now at fourty
Her's is half of mine
She made me live again
But she can not be mine.

The artist has been cruel
To make my dream come true
Because I only see her
In short visions one or two.

This is a true love
That will not carry
All the days and times of my life
Because she is now MARRIED
