Elusion

I was nothing but a body.
Perhaps even less.
Don't you recognize me?
uncover our heads,
in the shadow of the gallows.
I wastired of huddling on the ground.
You knew my weakspot,
but I knew you would not betray me.
Without fail,
I eluded.
Empty and dead,
I eluded.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
