The person I’d most like to meet
And I would like to get to know
Is one I’ve only read about
In esoteric books that shout
I cannot even live without
They say that everybody knows.

They say she is a lady.
That sounds very strange to me
For I’m as bloody masculine as pirates on the sea
And I never have been really swell
Taking orders from a she
It’s probably generational
But it could be in the genes

She’s partly conscious in this world
Yet coauthors my whole life
I know just what you’re gonna say
No, it’s not my lovely wife

Matter of fact I’ve probably been
Attracted to women in my life
Whose beauty bore resemblance to
To this “Lady of the Knight”.

Carl Jung renamed her “Anima”
But I prefer the right
To call her by her Spirit Name:
She’s my Guardian Angel
Who connects me with the Light.

I just got my enewletter from originalpoetry.com and they talked about joining forums, which I've never done. My first step was to click on the link they had, which somehow took me here. I just wanted to say that while I have no clue what I'm doing, I really enjoyed reading the poems and hearing how they attempted to meet the challenge. I think it was a hard one and all the poems I read (the ones you could view on here without following a link) showed valient effort! This is pretty cool, I'd like to join, maybe you'll see an entry of mine some time if I figure it out and am actually able to face any of the challenges!
