scardy’ – cat redneck

scardy’ – cat redneck

yankees wrongly believe all rednecks

love huntin , fishin and are

tough bastards who crave

beer, NASCAR and beef jerky

well I know a redneck poet

and he’s terribly afraid of snakes

spiders and is a closet

rescuer of bees and i quote him:

living their song...
I don't want to kill
...it would be wrong
How can I defend,
what message...
can I send...
I want you gone,
this is my home...
find a new box...
for your honeycomb
Take your queen,
sneak her out, unseen
I want tell...
no one will know,
Close the hive gently,
as you go...

his secret is safe with me

i won’t inform The New York Times

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
