LostI can feel the sun on my skin thou it brings me no warmth or comfort, |
|
Re: LostThat is so sad and yet this is so truely how so many feel. Depression affects so many people. So many feel lost, alone, and unseen. I liked the descriptors used in this, the sun shining down on you, but not feeling even the slightest bit of warmth...until the end, the warmth of the blood pouring over you as you end it all. Then, the last verse really makes one think....still alone. At least that gives the message that suicide isn't the answer. I think it is good that there is always the bond of sharing when this kind of poetry is shared, because we have all felt it at one time or another. In sharing the poem and getting postive responses we all know we aren't truely alone...we are heard...we do matter! (Sorry if that's a bit cheesy!) |
