Under The Autumn Moon (a new awakening)

Under The Autumn Moon (a new awakening)

In the pale blue rays
Under the Autumn moon
Our naked skin glistens
Fueling it's fire.

Hearts race
Filled with anticipation
Labored breaths quicken
Thick with desire.

Soaking sweat
Sweet dew of our love.
With fingers clenched tightly
Souls dancing in tune.

Our moon lit naked bodies
Entwined lie spent
Basking in the afterglow
Under the Autumn Moon

Re: Under The Autumn Moon (a new awakening)

I just wrote this verse today at 5am this morning, before having finished my first cup of coffee.
Thus the adjacent title - a new awakening, smile I hope you enjoy it!
Please leave a comment - good or bad if you view. It will be much appreciated, either way.
Thanks fellow poetry lovers!

Hey knight, this is my kind of poetry. Please don't wake me...I'm not done yet.

Very well done and beautiful, Knight! I like that it is so visual and real. Thanks!

Re: Under The Autumn Moon (a new awakening)

Autumn Moon

With my distant roundness
like a big plate in the sky
I’m left with hunger pangs
and a big thirst unquenched.
Only my imagination thrives
to be recognized within these
close horizons of the night.

There is nothing more precious
then the self. To be great;
to feel great; and to act great
while surrounded by the eternal
dark silence. I’m as vast as I act;
to become calm is the highest
achievement of the mirrored self.

There is no need to discover
the origins of the infinite dappled
dust that speckles the empty
immensity. This is my birthplace
since my beginning. I need only
follow my mother’s offerings
upon the path around the sun.

Re: Under The Autumn Moon (a new awakening)

Thank you all for your praise. I am truly humbled.
Sorry for the long delay in response. I never think to check in to the Poetry Forum.
I love both RH Peat's and Marsink's poems. both are really beautiful additions to this post.
And Gogant - Thank you for your kudos regarding my other poem "Haven't We Met Before" smile
Much appreciated.

Again, Thank you all!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
