about 15 years ago --when manufacturing stared to go to asia and mexico - i had a discussion with a lerned MBA with advanced degrees in economy - i don't have those --

my customers in the south were closing down furniture factories - entire towns were - dying off were generations had thrived in the mills and factories -

the MBA told me that is a developing economy that we must surrender the lower end products like toys and housewares and furniture to low wage nations -

despite his years of study - i disagreed and we had a heated argument ..

i told him that we have 300,000 million people and we all can't be bio-engineers and work for nasa and develop software and medical devices -- we need factory jobs--

so the argumnet ended with him leaving in a huff and over the years i watched as more and more of our customers close up shop -

we can't balme another country - we gave it away and they took it -- but now it's too late to get it back ... maybe we can all be bioengineers or work for google -

what the hell do i know ..........

Now is the time for all us small people to rise up and put a stop to the ambiguous excuses our politicians are trying to get us to swallow. Hooray for the likes of us who are fighting big brother...RAH, RAH, RAHyesiree....

and no one there spoke my language.

I walked into a store today...I know, I should have been watching where I was walking....
Anyway, there wasn't a single Chinese person to be found...I think they were all down at Joe's Bar, on the corner of the square, celebrating New Years.................................

The ethnic compostion of America has and always will be in a state of constant flux-
otherwise we would only be dutch - or british - or for that matter American Native's-

The issue , in my mind , is our tax dollars should be protecting the current population to
insure that our country remains competitive for those here and those who legally seek the oportunities this country has to offer - we have lost our competitive advantage for a variety of reasons - greed - wall street running amuck - lobby firms - spending billions on wars that are bred from failed policy --etc etc --

no DH - I don't think that's the way either -

but- we need to stop the corruption - stop funneling money overseas by the multi-billions-

channel resources into manufacturing instead of casinos -

promote tourism - there are so many things we can do --

i'd like to see a teddy roosevelt type figure - pounding his fist on the table - telling americans that we can do it --

everybody in washington speaks in whispers -- we need a tiger !!!!
