The weather right now

How about writing about whats happening outside of your house rightnow! Or where ever you happen to be!

Here is what I wrote:

The snow falls heavy and silent,
At time it even seems violent.

It blankets the ground like a thick quilt,
It blows from the north at a horizontal tilt.

Christmas is coming,
But the oncoming chill is numbing.

The wind whips the snow,
With a great big howling blow.

I watch from inside,
As I sit by the fireside.

I watch the flames dance,
And read a book of romance.

I wait for Colin Bridgerton to realize,
That Penelope Featherington is his prize.

As I get lost in my book,
I take one last look,

As the snow falls heavy and silent.

Re: The weather right now

A huff and puff of humor wafting from the direction of
the classic melody, LET IT SNOW

The weather outside is frightening
Our dog's been struck by lightening
She smokes and smolders and glows
Get the hose, not a rose, GET THE HOSE!

When we finally ended her plight
There was a calm in the midst of the storm
We know something's just not right
Growling quite gruff at Uncle Norm

The neighbor's have heard our screaming
A harsh awake from dreaming
The gas is turned down low
Gonna blow, love you Bro, GONNA BLOW!

If the pooch can stop her smokin
There'd be more time for jokin
But as long as she's got that glow
God send snow , send more snow, PLEASE SEND SNOW! big surprise shock

Re: The weather right now

The wind was sharp and fleeting
NOw it's coming down, sleeting!
I think tomorrow we will have lots of sliding
Cause the ice is slippery and frightening shock

Absolutely loved your poem! Wonderful, very quirky I think you are the only person who i have ever heard asking for more snow. Except me in sixth grade trying to get out of school and we got bombarded by five feet of snow, needless to say I did not have to go to school so it was a very good day!!!
