TIME'S OCEAN

Solitary figure, one lone swell
Sweeping past a summit, vast
Vagrant sea hides dreams well
Amber, living, sore bright cast

Clouds surround in unheard sounding
Eyes, thirsting, drinking mass
Life’s chords liven hearts’ pounding
Seas’ rolling embodies past

Thought strings staccato, thrumming
Greet Tomorrow’s unmet friend
Prime melodic notes, humming
March these waves on times’ ocean

Day to night, moon’s fixed flight
Orbiting, faithful light sent
Reflected face in water-sight
Witnesses split moment’s event

All life, a timepiece floating
Storms push crests through lucid plane
Horizon’s line denoting
Forever’s coast sifts time’s grain

My most stubborn creation to date, it took about 7 months to complete and I can't say it is all I'd hoped for. Please leave your comments on my page with this link, thank you!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
