This Site Is Slow, Slower, Slowest.

Is it only me or has this site gotten slow, very slow, to the point
of frustration and logging out quickly?

• My poem comment box takes forever to open.

• Just now, I could not open my email.

• Yesterday, I could not open other poets' poems.

• Sometimes I can't even log in.

When I am here I do not have a lot of time to spend,
especially on waiting and waiting for something, anything, to open.

Is it going to get better, or is it time to move on?

Are we done upgrading the Chat Room (where disjointed conversations rule)
so we can get some "really necessary upgrades" up and running?

Chat upgrades -- no, we're not done upgrading, and never will be. The same goes with the rest of the site. And we've gone over this a few times. So enough about that.

The web site is being moved to new servers. This is, unfortunately, not a quick process. We're currently testing a set of new updates to the site itself, and getting ready to push those live. After that is done, we will continue testing the new servers, and start moving everything to them.

We realize the site has been running slower and slower, and we thank everyone for their patience during this transition.
