From Afar
From Afar
Long has this quill been the voice of my heart. This parchment my chamber in which to hide.
In dreams I find and hold you captive. But it is I who is the willing hostage. Oh my love, what a sweet surrender.
Your footsteps resound of music. Your essence overwhelmingly sweet. Skin soft as a whisper.
Had I them to give, I would lay the stars before your feet. Alone I would build you a castle on the moon. And adorn your hair with the heavens for all to see and adore.
Men in their folly stumble and wither seeking the treasures of the world. The treasures I seek are in your presence, and your smile is all that I need.
My Darling, all that I am, you possess. You have but to ask and by my hands it shall be so. Forever shall I abide in Thee. If only you knew your Captive was me.
