Grief, Death and Loneliness

Grief, Death and Loneliness

If i pass through time,
If i pass through space
Cursed to eternal life, the years flow into decades.
So i chase the renegades
the ones who got away
Why can they escape, whilst i have to stay
will i taste the numbness
feel the cold hard weight of stone
does the white hot anger penetrate the calm that i must find
Why am i left behind?
the bird that never gets to fly
i am the shadowed ghost, the one who must ask why
the lonely little outcast
i'm different from the norm
i close within myself, i become impenetrable
But is this state sustainable?
and through my constant endless strife,
vulnerable and lonely, i welcome the end of life
so the final gift is given
but i was left til last
So with the pride of accomplishment, i face death at the centre
Off i go, on my last adventure.

when you write your poetry always remember to use captial I in your work. small i seems to say low self esteem. But other wise good job.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
