Hang Out to Dry
no matter how much we try
to let things hang out to dry
they seem to always stay wet
and freshly set
the pain is unbearable
but my love is still undeniable
ur face ur touch ur simple ways
the things that always made me stay
i sit and question the reasons to my actions
the reasons for not letting your memory drift
no matter how much we try
to let things hang to dry
they seem to always stay wet
and freshly set
the day we met was coincidence
i was w/someone and doin my own thing
u were getting over someone and getting over some things
u held my hand and opened my eyes
and now u have let me go and closed my eyes
once again i feel left in an abyss
wondering if i will ever come out of this
u were my bestfriend
now i'm left to be my own bestfriend
again like once before
on my own
to hold my own
no matter how much I try
to let things hang out to dry
they seem to always stay wet
and freshly set
like a damp cloth
under a sink that
will eventually get stale and rott
my love for us will do the same
to let things hang out to dry
they seem to always stay wet
and freshly set
the pain is unbearable
but my love is still undeniable
ur face ur touch ur simple ways
the things that always made me stay
i sit and question the reasons to my actions
the reasons for not letting your memory drift
no matter how much we try
to let things hang to dry
they seem to always stay wet
and freshly set
the day we met was coincidence
i was w/someone and doin my own thing
u were getting over someone and getting over some things
u held my hand and opened my eyes
and now u have let me go and closed my eyes
once again i feel left in an abyss
wondering if i will ever come out of this
u were my bestfriend
now i'm left to be my own bestfriend
again like once before
on my own
to hold my own
no matter how much I try
to let things hang out to dry
they seem to always stay wet
and freshly set
like a damp cloth
under a sink that
will eventually get stale and rott
my love for us will do the same
