    Happiness

I often find myself wondering is there a possibility
maybe one day we will embrace unity
Society’s deception is such a pity
It seems that we choose to misuse
And due to the abuse we feel the need to accuse
When all we need to do is pay our dues
Now just stop, pause and think
    Appreciation is the missing link
We take advantage of its purpose causing our happiness to sink
Only after this may we review our destined possibilities
    God gave us many luxuries
Now we consider a cell phone one of life’s necessities?
Just close your eyes and visualize
You and you alone, and believe me it will help you realize
There is no more truth to be found within our society’s haven of lies
Together we can be the answer to the never ending cries
We cannot even fathom the resiliency of our tempting devils
They appear on so many different levels
here I am, taking a stand
A stand against our ridiculous fight over pieces of land
While we should be appreciating even the smallest grain of sand
In this life we are living
We are put here to keep on giving
Supposedly our society has evolved to be unforgiving
Get over it and stand up
Or the temptation shall have you if you choose to give up
don’t question it just sit down and shut up
It will be okay for today
Everyone has a price to pay
Now please keep your emotions at bay
Remember you have one life to live
Be strong and refrain from the negative
Why? When we actually have the choice to give and be positive

I think you are jumping around too much in the middle: your trying to paint too many pictures.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
