"Hi"
As I walked by the cemetery
On a dark and lonely night,
I saw a message on a grave stone
that was a disturbing sight.
It was not engraved in the stone
But a shadow that casted upon it,
By the gate that was nearby
A "Hi" that the shadow did transmit.
I thought about this for a moment
As I continued on my way,
Was this a sign of a near future
A welcoming into a lonely grave?
Or maybe it’s the dead of family
Who are watching over me,
To comfort and support in a time
When I just feel so lonely.
This “Hi” is such a mystery
Of what this grave stone has shown.
A welcoming death or a sign of love?
I just may never know.
