Hurt and Now Alone

Never did I think that I would be in the dark
You held me in your arms and said we’d be okay
you said you wouldn’t astray
you told me all the things I wanted to hear
little did I know that soon I would fear
all those hurt n lost feelings…. Knowing… I was loosing you
you said I was beautiful and it made me feel special
many conversations of laughter, shared many tears of sorrow and pain
Tonight you are gone and I feel crazily insane
For the thoughts going through my mind
Weak, cold and hurt…life has been taken from me

I wish you could see
Tears fall from my eyes,
I wish you could feel all the pain that you put me through
A part of me you will always be
Even thought it seems to be killing me
I never thought you would hurt me the way that you did
You just up and walked away as if I were dead

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
