    Poem Commentary

God protect me from myself and my other enemies.

    I am not Ron Blue

Jesus accepts us for who we are
but are we all to transform
    in Ron Blue?
    I pray not.
He's great, Seems like a nice guy.
    Hair is short and neat
    Wears pressed suits
Probably drives a Lexus or Volvo.
    the very epitome of the
    Christian financial professional.
    But I am not him;
    and he is not me.
    and both of those facts
    are good.
If i am supposed to be
Ron Blue, then I am in trouble.
God knows that I will never make it.
I don't think I would ever want to.
I know God wants me to be what I am,
and not concern myself about what I am not.
Years ago I heard Ron Blue say,
    "I am not Larry Burkett."
I guess we all go through this crap.
