    I Can't Believe

I can't believe what this world has become.
All the hatred and anger that we have.
I can't believe all the sex that is around us.
All the lust that the world wants.
I can't believe that respect is dying.
No one gets the respect that is owed to them.
I don't want to believe that all the world want is violence.
I won't believe that love is dead,
love is the only way we can win.
I can't believe what I'm seeing through my eyes.
I pray everyday that the world changes.
I hope that God is listening to me.
    I can' believe.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
