    I CAN'T CHANGE

THE YEARS WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER WERE A BLESSING
YOUR WAYS OF LOVING ME, KEEP ME GUESSING
WHEN WE MET YOU WERE A PLAYER
I TURNED YOU AWAY CAUSE I WAS SCARED
YOU STILL THINK OF YOUR FIRST LOVE
YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME BUT I UNDERSTAND
WE COULD EASILY FIT LIKE A GLOVE
IF YOU'D GIVE IN AND LET ME IN
JUST WHEN I THINK WE'RE GETTING CLOSER
    YOU MOVE FURTHER AWAY
THE TIMES I MISS THE MOST
ARE WHEN WE WERE ALWAYS HAPPY
I WANNA LOVE YOU LIKE NO ONE ELSE CAN
HOLDING YOU CLOSE KNOWING YOU ARE MY MAN
I KNOW AT TIMES ALL I DO IS ACCUSE YOU
    I APOLOGIZE FOR MY ATTITUDE
TRUSTING YOU AGAIN ISN'T GONNA BE EASY
THE WAY YOU TREATED ME WAS SLEEZY
YOU STILL TAKE MY BREATHE AWAY
WHEN YOU WALK INTO THE ROOM
I KNOW I'M A PAIN ALMOST EVERY DAY
BUT THE LOVE I FEEL IN MY HEART FOR YOU
IS THE ONE THING "I CAN'T CHANGE."

this poem is very heart felt knowing what true love really feels like

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
