I killed myself
I killed my self just yesterday
I carried a weight that felt like a boulder
I was going to kill someone else
So God patted me on my shoulder
I tried real hard like everyone else
To keep everything clean and landscaped
I tried real hard to keep him inside
But the monster one day escaped
Did I kill him or did he kill me
That’s what I want to know
To stop his madness and protect you all
The both of us had to go
My best friend died just yesterday
Yeah I shot him right in the head
I took away his pain and his emptiness
I took away all of his dread
I fought real hard believe me I did
But my life was just too incomplete
And now they’re turning out the lights
And pulling up the sheets
