I know you.
Where am I? Where did I go?
I’ve wandered around for years. Have you seen me?
It is really sad you know.
I have looked for myself, Oh where can I be?
I feel the senses, no emotion you see…
Even a Vulcan has nothing on me!
To hide to flee to dance or run,
Add up my life it equals none.
Would you know who I was if I stood next to you,
In a line at a store or tying a shoe?
I passed you on the street one day,
Sunglasses hid your eyes.
I shook my head as if to say,
I know and hear your cries…
Yet on you walked right through my life,
You passed on by with loads of strife…
And I asked… does anyone know you?
How well we hide out in the open.
So sad we hurt our thoughts are mopin’.
Yet on we trudge each day and night,
Our minds and hearts put a fight…
And we fall… where is our comfort?
Do you know me?
I know you,
Where you’ve been and what you do!
Yes… I know you… and your soul…
I know your sorrows, hurts and pains,
The sun when up, the night and rains…
I know you well… a mirror with in.
Can’t hide your eyes… it’s where I’ve been…
So bow your head in hands and weep…
Someday soon all sorrows sleep…
I know you…
