    I miss you

    I miss you
    I miss your hair
    I miss you face
    I miss your smile
I miss the way you stood up tall and faced disgrace
I miss the smell of your pot burning down the hall
I miss the sound of your voice
I miss the stories about the devil and all that crazy shit
I miss the way you could make me smile when I wanted to cry
I miss the way you made me feel like someone loved me
    I miss your presence
I miss knowing I had someone to run to
    I miss you
I miss your letters and cards
I miss mom getting mad because I talked to you.
I wish I could have said goodbye or at least seen you
I wish I could have been there with you
I wish I could have met your friends and seen the people you traded me for
I wish I wasn't so angry at you for leaving me again
I wish you would have held on just a little while longer
I wish we would have went to Arkansas while you were alive
I wish you were alive and we were all happy
but your not your gone and I am here
    Ive tried to join you
    Ive tried to deal
but every time I get good news or bad news and I pick up the pen to write you or pick up the phone to call you I remember and you die all over again
Who's gonna tell my future kids stories and give them airplane rides
Who's gonna put them on his shoulder and let them touch the ceiling
Your not suppose to be gone
I cant grow with out you
my life is like an elevator and when you jumped out it froze
I don't know what to do without because without you I have no one.
    I wish you were here
I wish things were back to normal
I wish this poem sounded better
I wish I could go back in time
ten years ago and fix everything before it happens

I like this poem. Even though I could tell that you are in alot of pain. Do you think pain makes some of the best words turn into poetry?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
