I Shall Ignite

I Shall Ignite

Blood boils within my soul on this very day,
I cannot escape the fact that I let my teachers frown.
Lazyness consumed my week and brought my grades down.

But beating myself up will only delay,
For a comeback is coming my way.
For I will never stop, not by a parent,
nor a cop.

Today is the day where I begin my journey.
A journey of success and relentlessness.

A bright future is in my sight, a future in flight, an inner light.

I shall show my potential as a bird with a broken wing,
That begins to fly and then continues to sing.
I shall ignite, I shall ignite!
God have mercy cus I shall ignite!

I like your poem. It is catchy and interesting.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
