I Stand Alone
So many people here, but the feeling is still there.
I walk the hall,
I feel the shortest of them all.
All the people I can see,
but no soul to help me.
All the sound,
but I am not to be found.
I stand alone.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
