I wish we had not been

I wish we had not been

    Like a broken road
    Never reaching abode
I wish we had not been

Like a tear that neither falls nor dries
And a truth that is kept beneath the lies
I wish we had not been

Like words that could never reach your lips
And a chance before I notice slips
I wish we had not been

I wish we had not been so far
When close we cud be as we are
I wish we had not been

Excellent. Is this your poem or is it from another poet? I love it regardless, just wondering about the copywright on the bottom.

i wrote it! thanx for the appreciation

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
