IF YOU DARE

IF YOU DARE

So I am the one that you say that you want. When really your looking for a mind you can taunt.

You fall to your knees and scream "this cant be true". By meeting the match who's know taunting you.

I know why you do this really I do, why you punish others for the pain you've gone threw.

Because I to have experienced that part. When your left standing holding you bashed little heart.

So here comes my dilemma do I let you go, or punish you for all the souls you have stole.

I will take the chance and show you the love you have lost, and pray you will snatch it and I wont be tossted.

Because if that were to happen and we were to part. I would unwillingly unleash upon you the hell from my heart.

So not only would you live your pain. You,d pay for my past and it would drive you insane.

I would unwillingly unleash upon you the hell from my heart. this line alone is a 10 for me. LOVE THAT LINE. it holds such anger, rawness, and vulnerabilty at the same time. the fact that this poem cuts straight into the subject of dealing with someone who has problems with committment or maybe a little unstable makes it okay that it has grammatical errors. because it makes it more raw and just pure straight from the heart. good job hear! i know what it feels like to be in your shoes on this one. the poem asked "IF YOU DARE", i did, i entered, and i'm glad i got to read this. thank you. goodjob!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
