I'm Human Too, Please Don't Single Me Out

It was a hot and steamy day.
I felt as if I was in a sauna as I walked down the sidewalk.
Of course there would be no shade on my side and I couldn't get to the
    other side!
Others walked past me, glancing away as if they didn't want to look at me.
I knew I was perspiring heavily.
    Was this cause for concern?
People perspire in many different activities!
Does it matter where the body reaches the boiling point?
When it's over the average degrees on a bright, cloudless, sunny day the body has to perspire!
Yet I felt as though I was being cast aside like the lepers of biblical time!
    PLEASE, don't single me out!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
