    I'M VERY TIRED OF CRYING

How can you be so hurtful towards the mother of your boys
My heart's a very fragile thing, your feelings null and void.

You say some rather hurtful things of which I don't deserve
I don't sleep well and I don't smile, emotions are reserved.

You know when you have gone too far, then you apologize
But how much more must I endure before you realize

That I am just a human too, with limits you have stretched
The spiteful things you say to me, I wished that I could catch

Before they reach my inner-self, which is already sad
And when I try to help you out, not come across as mad.

I know I'm not worth cash to you, but not for lack of trying
You think you could let up a bit? I'm very tired of crying!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
