In Love, In Denial of Love

Love is not a new subject for me.
If I was taken by it; yeah, well no mystery.
I would recognize the signs, not fooled by its flair.
Not me, would not be starry-eyed,intrigued by the flow of your hair.
The way that you smile and the seam of your jawline.
    Ever so perfect, lovely,divine.
I could tell of the rapid beat of my heart,to hear words like honey.
    Flow sweetly from your tongue.
I tell you,I know love! The sweaty palms, the sudden spring in my step.
And how it would make me feel oh, so young.
I may have sent you flowers when there was no special occasion.
Even called your name by mistake.
In my opinion, love is like a fairy tale that only ends in heartache.
Who's in love? Not me,oh cause I would definately know it!
Yes, the signs are clear, and I would show it.
Love, ha! It could never take me, way too smart not to recognize.
Sitting and just thinking,I am full of wisdom; means I am too wise.
For me to say I love you,to mean it, I would know.
I could not be in love, not me; please just go.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
