    In The Darkness Of Night

Smiling in the darkness of night,

I see you from across the room.

I dream of you holding me tight,

Then I think of all the pain you brought.

With the many nights we've fought.

I can't believe you'd do this to me,

All the cheating and all the lies.

Everytime I'd go to your house,

The sympathy looks in your family's eyes.

Should have known you were no good,

I can't believe I fell for your charm.

Your out of my life, an into someone else's

I don't know how someone could...

How someone could love someone so selfish.

Love for you is what I thought I had,

But I guess I was wrong, and I'm glad.

I'm much better off without you.

I have found someone so true,

His love for me will be everlasting,

While your love will be in passing.
