    What can I say?
    I once was lost and still not found;
    I sit atop an ancient mound
    of memories & curses that still astound
    this beholder of angels & listless crowns.
    The world sits still while head & heart pound;
    I parade in abundance w/ the rest of these clowns-
    I cannot separate what is naturally compound,
    as I cannot save what wants to drown.
    I fight to please these tireless hounds
    that soil the territory of my soul's hometown.
    I cannot reach what hope surrounds,
    because by my own hands my feet are bound.
    Once, twice, thrice...I've been around;
    and curiosity stirs with peculiar sounds.
    What's good and pure keeps me down,
    but happiness hides in this naked frown.
    The time is now to become unwound-
    Remembrance breeds in barren grounds;
    this I can feel, but leave abound.
    What can I say?
    I once was lost, and still not found.

    thank you very, very kindly.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
