It's No Longer Night
It's No Longer NightEvery ploy, every scheme, you've engineered and contrived,
has unveiled memory, from an era I thought died.
I thought he was dead, but, in you he lives on.
The pain and despair, I thought was gone.
To you I surrendered my heart and my dreams,
and my ability to think, for your virus of schemes.
This revival of violence I can't even grasp.
My heart is a wound. Its proportions are vast.
Every stitch, every thread, the quilt of my life,
tattered and torn, ripped apart by the strife.
Something's been rattled, so there's no turning back.
Emotions ignited, off the scale, on a rack.
Here's your "BALL AND CHAIN," encumber me not.
You've been found out. You are finally caught.
So, RELEASE YOUR DAMN GRIP!,YOU HAVE NO RIGHT,
NO MORE WILL YOU RAVISH, IT'S NO LONGER NIGHT!!!
has unveiled memory, from an era I thought died.
