Poem Commentary

L'amour et l'amitie', Pari'

Je t' adore!

I exhale a rainbow of every color, the vibrancy of my breath shines brilliant, like the perfect cut of a sapphire! I exude my giddiness, not a hint of ugliness, just a pure joy and exhuberance!  Such beauty to behold, high up above the pigment of this desire!  Bonjour Mesdames, artistically justified in your beauty, Mon Cheri! I get enraptured, strolling through the highways of your Parisian empire! As I savor, this flavor of a fine Chateaubriand, I speak  Je t'aime, my coup de foudre', lingering,  in the city of love!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
